This custom residence in the heart of the scenic Snoqualmie Valley east of Seattle features a traditional style rather than the wood-and-stone architecture typical of the Northwest. Extraordinary attention to detail was paid on the millwork used throughout the home, from the trim accenting the sweeping exterior gables and circular rear veranda right through to the crown and window moldings, display niches and even the baseboard inside. The master bath, part of a main-floor retreat that includes a spacious bedroom, sitting room and fireplace, adheres to this traditional design theme and reflects the clients’ desire for a comfortable but elegant residence.

Beautiful and virtually maintenance-free, fiberglass Classicast columns support the arched soffit at the tub entrance.

Oversize double-hung window receives the same traditional treatment that characterizes the millwork throughout the home, including a full window wrap with a sill and an apron.

Manufacturer’s translucent “glue-chip” glass in the bathroom window provides natural illumination without sacrificing privacy.

Double-width shower features a plate-glass door and granite tile walls in sea-foam green.

Tub surround and vanity countertops are also granite.

Red oak flooring features a natural finish that lets the beauty of the variations in the wood show through.
