Gaggenau's ED 220 combination steam and convection oven is a gastronomic dream. The 24-inch-wide, built-in unit can be adjusted to four humidity settings or set to use only convection cooking. Steaming action allows food to be "refreshed" without losing texture and moisture, and it also can be used to warm plates. The unit also has Gaggenau's ThermoTest feature, which continually monitors the temperature inside the oven. The ED 220 earned a 2002 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, which recognizes industrial and graphic design internationally.
