Net Gains

HAI has upgraded its Web-Link II software, which lets a homeowner control lights, temperature and security functions over the Internet. Now, it also can record up to 12 hours of video and audio, either on demand or based on a system event (activation of a security alarm, e.g., or the arrival of children or a housekeeper). It also can be prompted to send HTML e-mails that contain event details, system information (security arming status, e.g.), temperatures and the latest events from the system log.
