This self-contained free exit system for solar powered gates limits the amount of electric current needed for operation. As a result, less power will be consumed by numerous cycles throughout the day and any accessories associated with the gate. While most probe detectors demand at least 1.5 milliamps in stand-by power, the GateMate requires 150 microamps—85 to 90 percent less than the nearest competitor.
