Kuppersbusch's new induction wok is designed to catapult the great properties of wok cooking into a new age of technology. The company says induction cooking is faster and more energy efficient than cooking with gas or electricity. The concave black glass-ceramic cooktop uses electromagnetic energy for heat and features sensor touch controls and nine power level settings. By generating heat only when a pan is placed directly on the surface, the cooktop stays cool to the touch. Also, all heat is generated only in the pan, so the kitchen stays cooler because no ambient heat is produced. The company expects the wok to be available in April or May and estimates it will cost $3,500. For more information, visit www.kuppersbuschusa.com.
