Water filtration

Out With the Bad

Using a dual-stage, dual-cartridge canister filtration design, Everpure's H-1200 Drinking Water System cleans contaminants and carcinogens out of residential faucets without eliminating helpful minerals such as fluoride. The filters remove particles as small as one-half of a micron (1/50,000 of an inch). Click here for more information

Windows

Inside Looking Out

Designed for new-home construction, Milgard's Montecito vinyl window series meets Energy Star requirements while eschewing argon gas as filler. The series has a 3¼-inch frame depth with integral nail fin and a 1 3/8-inch setback for installation ease. The windows also use the company's SmartTouch one-touch locking system. A Quieter Duet

Expanding on its line of Energy Star qualified products, Whirlpool's Duet HT front load washers and dryers feature sleeker controls and an LED control panel for cycle selection. The units also feature the company's Dynamic Stability Control software that senses the load position and automatically adjusts the drum to reduce vibration and operation noise.  Shine like Pearls

Inspired by Venetian finery, Meyda Lighting's La Perla Nera fused glass ceiling pendant, part of the company's Metro Fusion Collection, has a semi-flushed design with hardware hand-forged from black iron and glass with black and white colors and silver accents. The fixture is 30 inches wide and stands 20 inches tall. Click here for more information
