Standard Pacific Homes, one of the country’s largest homebuilders, has acquired five sites from Crescent Resources at its Chapel Grove development near Lake Wylie, N.C., the Charlotte Business Journal reported. The company will also purchase an additional 28 sites in the luxury home development.

Designs for the Chapel Grove sites range from 2,600 to 3,800 square feet and start around $300,000. Standard Pacific will break ground this month, and the development is expected to be completed in 2012.

Chapel Grove encourages green-building techniques and environmentally sensitive practices.
