Clopay Building Products introduces its new Avante Collection of garage doors. "This door was exclusively available for commercial use, but we saw an opportunity for a residential application to meet the needs of design-conscious homeowners seeking urban accents for modern homes," says Pat Lohse, director of residential marketing for Clopay.

This collection was originally unveiled as the "full view door," but it has since been modified with new designs, which increase the thickness of the frame sections, and white was added as a standard finish option.

The striking feature of the Avante Collection is found within its design by allowing people inside to see through to the outdoors, but not allowing people from the outside to see in. There are many window options available to control the degree of privacy and light transmission including clear, frosted, tinted, mirrored or acrylic glass, wire or laminate. The glass is supported by a durable, 2 1/8-inch thick, rust-free, aluminum frame that can be custom-painted or sealed with a clear, white or brown finish. Solid aluminum panels in finished matching the frame are also available.
